Brennan Completes Acquisition of CBR Cyber – Targets Strategic Entry into Federal Government Market

Brennan is set to target the federal government sector having strengthened its position as Australia’s largest and most capable sovereign-owned Systems Integrator, following its completion of the acquisition of Canberra-based cybersecurity specialist CBR Cyber. 

Brennan’s founder and Managing Director, Dave Stevens, said the acquisition helped the business mature its managed services, cyber and digital offering to a point that it could now provide a fresh approach to delivering federal government agencies with technology solutions. 

“We’ve been steadily enhancing our capabilities to deliver not just scale but also sovereign service delivery – competencies ideal for complex, sensitive, and essential environments like Federal Government,” Mr Stevens said. 

“While we are the largest Systems Integrator in the country, we have not as yet had any real footprint in federal government.  

“However, with the addition of CBR Cyber to the business and us now having a presence in Canberra, we are well placed to offer Federal Government agencies the efficiency of shared services while addressing the unique requirements of sovereign, dedicated delivery models.” 

CBR Cyber Managing Director, Andrew Weir, said the acquisition would unlock new growth opportunities and enable the business to offer clients an expanded range of high-value services.

The completed deal marks Brennan’s fifth acquisition in just four years, with Brennan continuing to scale its shared services model, already the most advanced and sophisticated of any Australian Systems Integrator.
